General Yaşar Güler, the Chief of the General Staff, General Umit Dündar, the commander of the Land Forces, Oramiral Adnan Ozbal and Bakar Akar, who conducted the inspection and inspection of the troops in Izmir, recalled that the agreement was reached with US Defense Minister Mark Esper on 21 August to begin the first phase of the plan for the safe zone.
